This is today's devotional: Proverbs 3:5-6.
"...and lean NOT on thine own understanding." That means that you should NOT depend on your own understanding. Because as humans, we don't know any other way besides the way of the world, which is evil and corrupt, full of heartbreak and sadness. We adopt that world's understanding as our own, and that's why the Lord commands us not to depend on the world, but to trust in God. Depending on the world will only break you down. But depending on God will keep you on your feet. :)
I love today's... I never thought of it as the "worlds" understanding. I thought of it as just mine... but I guess my understanding DOES seem to come from the world! lol! Thanks!!
